The Mission Of JCCO
Our Mission is to provide, through the local school systems, educational support that allows students to experience learning success; achieve higher education and become contributing members of our community.
The Jackson County Community Outreach, JCCO, is a citizen-based organization that was established to foster a better community through education based efforts. We are always seeking out ways to improve the communities dialogue between the youth, education, business and civic leaders. We want to improve the employee education and skill set of all our at-risk youth and young adults as they enter into continuing education. We provide scholarships for college seniors that will be attending college and technical schools. We hope that these recipients will return to Jackson County Georgia when they graduate and find promising jobs at home. We strive for a future that will provide better education and will attract more job opportunities to Jackson County, which will improve our standard of living and open the door for new opportunities.
The JCCO Vision
From the start, the Jackson County Community Outreach was a civic-based organization that wanted to foster better community dialogue and seeks ways to improve the relationships between Community, the school system, and the businesses in Jackson County Georgia.The JCCO has always aimed to help improve the employment skills of all at-risk youth and young adults, champion life skills projects and enhance the pride and enthusiasm for education improvements in our county.
How can you help?
There are two significant ways you can help out JCCO and make a difference for a deserving graduating student from one of the Jackson County high schools.
One way is to volunteer time to the JCCO group as a whole. JCCO is an all-volunteer civic group that needs your help to accomplish our overall mission.
Another way to help is through donating money to our overall efforts. We have an endowment fund and our annual event where you can get a table for your company or group. This yearly event provides direct resources to our traditional college scholarships. The endowment fund was established to ensure that we continue to provide for the educational needs of the county going forward. We use the endowment fund interest revenue to give the scholarships to out technical college scholarship fund.
